Pistol Club President Roger Kroes addressed the NWTFS Board of Directors at their
recent meeting. Most of the clubs are slowing down their activities anticipating the
colder months ahead. However, there will be two Turkey Shoots held November 16th and Dec. 21st.
The Boys' Deer Hunt is also scheduled for Dec. 6th and 7th.

Board of Director Brian Davis presented a report to the members about upcoming 4-H events.
There will be an important District R&P planning meeting for 2009 held on Saturday, Nov. 8th
at 10:00 a.m. at the NWTFS building on SW Parkway. April 11th 2009 is the District
R&P Tournament. Also, a tentative date for the 4-H Day Camp was set for Aug. 22, 2009.
NWTF&S History
The Northwest Texas Field and Stream Association was organized in 1928 and chartered
by the State of Texas as a non-profit charitable and educational association
in 1945. The association has over three thousand family members that support
conservation and outdoor opportunities for youth in the community.

Range Information
The Northwest Texas Field and Stream Association shooting range--The Daume Marksmanship
Range--is located on the east side of Sheppard AFB at 4472 Old Friberg Rd. To reach the range,
exit I-44 East on FM 171 in the direction of the Municipal Airport. Continue past the
airport and make the first left turn at Emert Rd, followed by a right turn onto Old Friberg Rd.
